The End of Human-Led Revenue

Revenue organizations still run like they did a decade ago. A VP of Sales still starts Monday morning the same way they did in 2018 — scrolling through pipeline, asking reps why deals slip, and hoping nothing slips through the cracks. Despite all the investment in software and tools, the model hasn’t changed. It still depends on someone deciding when to act.

That model is shifting. At its core, the shift is simple: With recent advances in AI agents, we can now show revenue teams what to do, when it matters—and help them get it done.

AI is transforming nearly every business function. We now have Cursor and Claude Code for coding, Decagon and Sierra for support, and Harvey and Legora for legal. Sales is the most expensive function in most companies – 30 to 40 cents of every dollar of revenue goes back into GTM. And yet it's the function AI has barely transformed.

That’s why we’re building Intelligence-Led Revenue.

The Breakpoint

Current sales and revenue tools focus on specific personas and workflows, but they stop there. Teams are left stitching together 15 different tools across the sales process—alongside tools like ChatGPT, Cowork, and Gemini—to try to piece together what’s happening and what to do next.

But at scale, beyond what any team can consistently manage, critical things get missed—a leadership change, a shift in budget, a deal going quiet. At any given moment, something that should move forward doesn’t.

Go-to-market is exactly the kind of problem goal-directed agents are built for, especially as they are rapidly improving at running for longer periods of time, doing more work, and handling more context. It’s continuous, context-heavy, and constantly changing. It’s shaped by conversations, product usage, external context, and internal history. Making sense of it requires an always-on system that is reasoning through that information, not static spreadsheet workflows or one-off recommendations. And, there’s a very clear goal—to progress accounts down the funnel—that enables agents to work proactively and autonomously, forever.

The Shift

What if every account was continuously worked—even when your team wasn’t working?

We’re introducing a new paradigm for go-to-market: a persistent AI agent for every account.

These agents operate 24/7 across a company’s entire market, with full context on what is happening across the sales organization. They identify opportunities and develop strategies to break into accounts. They research, prospect, and execute the work to move deals forward. Instead of waiting for sellers to connect the dots, work continues in the background—ensuring signals are interpreted, opportunities progress, and next steps are always ready.

What this enables is simple: a system that shows you everything you need to do next—and helps you get it done.

With every account continuously worked, nothing resets at a handoff. Nothing depends on who happens to be paying attention. Revenue becomes a continuous system of intelligence, running across every account, learning from every interaction, and compounding over time, one you can build on as it improves and expands what’s possible.

This is a hard system to build — but it's the way every winning revenue team will operate.

Every Account. Always Improving.

With tens of millions of per-account agents already in production for our customers, we are continuously learning what’s most impactful—so revenue teams know what to do and how to act.

Sales teams are no longer wasting hours of their day doing research and reasoning through information. Instead, SDRs focus on creatively engaging accounts that are ready to convert as agents tell them who to reach out to and how. AEs win more deals because agents surface more opportunities and guide them along the way. AMs spend less time reacting to surprise churn risks, and are growing the business as agents surface more upsell and cross-sell opportunities along with the plan for getting it done. Leaders stop waiting for Friday's forecast call to find out what's real — and start guiding strategy with full visibility into what's working, what's stalling, and where to double down."

And when you log off, agents keep working, and get better every day.

The result is a scalable system that continuously builds context across every account, learns from every interaction, and shares those learnings across the system to compound growth.

Where This Goes

Intelligence-Led Revenue is inevitable. AI is driving a fundamental shift in go-to-market, moving the industry from simple systems of engagement to true systems of intelligence. The companies that embrace this shift will outperform those who don’t—and we’re already seeing it with customers including Attentive, Ironclad, Ramp, Samsara, and Verkada.

At Samsara, Actively account agents are deployed across the entirety of GTM—including Account Development, Sales, Revenue Operations, and Customer Success—driving measurable improvements across the revenue system:

  • 2x conversion rates on Actively-driven sales outreach

  • Increased quota attainment among top-half of AEs

  • Accelerating their internal AI GTM roadmap on Actively's API — while saving millions in compute and token costs

This traction led to our $45 million Series B, co-led by TCV and First Harmonic, with participation from Bain Capital Ventures, First Round Capital, and Alkeon, bringing total funding to $68 million.

We’re using this to move even faster—expanding what the system can do across the full revenue lifecycle, deepening deployments with our customers, and building the foundation for Intelligence-Led Revenue.

The model is changing. This is what comes next.
